What is Shamanic Journey?

I am often asked Shamanic Journey is and how shamanic practices can be
utilized. It is difficult to explain something that is bette
r experienced: I will
do the best I can to
Explain Soul Retrieval and Extraction in as few
words as possible.

Let's say you had an experience in your life as a child that was traumatic. I
often use the example of a child seeing something such as their family pet
being hit by a car... this is traumatic for a child. The spirit may not know
how to react to this event. So it leaves the body for a moment. The
emotions that were over whelming for the child go with it.

(You also may hear of things like this happening sometimes in horrible
events such at Rape or Brutal beatings. The person felt it was too much to
handle and may see themselves floating above their body and felt nothing
of this event. They are there but not there... if that makes sense. )

As an adult there may be no clear memory of the event. Yet that event is
attached to the soul. The soul remembers.  So for some reason they might
find they have an extreme fear of their current pet being hit by a car, or
pain relating to pets or an emotional discomfort around animals and they
aren't sure why. This is a mild example as more often than not the "event"
is traumatic abuse or otherwise.

So let's say a Shamanic Practitioner is doing a retrieval for a person. To
retrieve the lost piece of this person's soul, that is sort of floating about,
and leaving the person feeling "not whole" or not connected so to speak.
They have something they aren't sure they want to work through but other
avenue's they have taken haven't worked. As people are lead to a
Shamanic practitioner for a variety of reasons.

During a session A Shamanic practitioner would then connect with the
person on a spiritual level. A variety of tools can be used to do this.
Drumming, Rattling or in some cases (which I have no experience with
what so ever) hallucinogenic may be utilized to walk in the spirit realm
connect with the person's Spirit guides or Totem animals for direction.

It might be better if I explain what I experience during a retrieval. I'll just
use an example of how things might go as I never share what I get from a
person. Confidentiality yanno?

I have the person lay on my table on floor or what ever is available
(massage tables are awesome for this). I will drum to achieve a level of
consciousness that will connect me to the Spirit Realm. This is often
referred to as a visionary state. Usually a Totem or guide for the person
will appear during this state and hand the "missing piece" to me. I am given
little to no information about the person or the exact "thing" they want to
work on.

By this I mean I am handed the person by their Totem in a visionary state
which I achieve through a path I have learned to take through my teacher.
But I'm handed the person at a certain age, given a message that means
little to me but a lot to the person.

I'm then guided on where to return the piece to. Again usually not knowing
this is an area of pain for the person or otherwise. Most often it is the
Heart Chakra as we carry so much in the Heart. I will then use my breath
to return the piece to where it belongs, seal it through a series of steps I've
(I also may use stones, herbs, furs, wings or feather and such... just what
ever I am lead to use) and then share with them what I was given.  There
is a major level of trust that has to occur on the individual to just let me do
what I am lead to do. I'm not sure how else to explain this as I mentioned
it is something to be experienced.

The person may experience a flash back or memory of say being with
Gramma who became very angry and maybe slapped the child at that age
(again this is totally an example as I've never had this exact thing happen)
something they may have forgotten until that moment.  Once the piece is
returned many times the memory comes with it.

I have had past life pieces come to me, piece of people as adults, children
just what ever needs to come. I will usually only "do" 3 pieces at any given
time. Not as a rule.. I suppose if I was lead to do more and felt it was ok
(intention is key) I would do more. An hour time frame usually doesn't
permit for more than 3 so this is just a limit I've set.

So once this is done we will discuss what may come up after that. Such as
emotions or feeling pain that may have left or otherwise. I will check back
with them after one week as it is a delicate process and the piece may
have to be re- Reattached. If that makes sense.
