How is Sound Therapy sent distantly?
By Anamere

Utilizing musical instruments, tuning forks, crystal bowls, singing bowls,
drumming, chanting and toning (human voice) have been used to aid
healing, stress relief  and balancing
chakra’s throughout the century’s. It
wasn't until recently that we have began to understand that we can use
sound for distant healing’s too. Our knowledge of time and space having
no restrictions is growing.
Our understanding is coming to terms with
setting no boundaries on the endless possibilities of different forms of
energy traveling from person to person.

It’s widely known that energy work such as
reiki can be used for distant
healing and
reiki attunements.

But how is this done?

It is usually done by using a “proxy.” A proxy can either be another
“warm body” on the end of the sender representing the receiver. All the
receiver has to do is receive the energy being sent.
Many have used
stones and crystals or other items such as stuffed dolls to represent the
receiver too. The possibilities are really endless and intention is key.
You
may wonder how is this possible with sound
; Simple...sound is energy.
The same process utilized with Reiki and other energy work can be
received by the same exact process.

But how does sound therapy work on the body?

You may have heard of Dr. Emoto and the extensive scientific research he
has performed over the last decade. This research documented the
relationship words and sound on water molecules. Dr. Emoto’s  research
found that when certain word were place on containers or “sounds”
(music)  played while water was crystalizing the water molecules changed
form. While certain words such as “Love” or “Gratitude” formed beautiful
crystals classical music produced similar effects. Other sounds and
phrases such as “I Hate you” or Heavy metal music produced muddy or
cloudy water crystals.

It is then interesting to think about the human body. Made up primarily of
water, about 75% what remains is also muscled water, and to think of the
effects of sounds on our body’s. It is even more interesting to think of
sound aiding with healing or balancing Chakra’s by changing  the
frequency of our body.

It can and it does with science backing it too!

Study’s performed by many scientist have shown the effect of sound
therapy, toning, chanting and drumming as a balancing tool for the body.
How, you may ask, is this measured?

Although Eastern Societies have know this for many centuries by utilizing
the hands and other tools to sense “The unseen energy” of the body, and
things of this nature. Resent studies in the West have used a variety of
devices to back this knowledge with science. Devices such as a SQUID
(*SQUID= super conducting quantum interference device) Magnetometer, Radionics,
Electromagnetic devices and other more metaphysical tools such as
dowsing and pendulums.

On a more basic and personal level. I like to think about music and the
effect it can have on mood and the way I feel. Either negatively or
positively. Think of a song you enjoy (or not if you wish). Perhaps your
favorite song on the radio, a song from childhood, a loved classical piece
or maybe drumming or chanting. Think of this song. How does it make
you feel? Is it high vibrating  symphonic sounds that fill you with a sense of
connection and oneness.  Or an upbeat little ditty that creates a sense of
social belonging when heard in a social setting. Is it filled with low tones
which might fill you with comfortable or uncomfortable sexual energy
depending on time and place. It really is interesting to think about  musical
notes and tones making you feel good or bad.

It is more interesting because each of the chakras in our chakra system is
made up of energy that is vibrating at a certain frequency or “tone”. Each
in a logical and orderly sequence of seven vibrations. Each of the colors of
the spectrum also represent a series of seven vibrations in a logical and
orderly sequence, as do the notes of the musical scale. We can sense or
feel this as music or tuning forks are played.

Hummmm... Interesting indeed! But how does it feel during a Sound
therapy Session?

What a person experiences during a distant sound therapy session. It is
similar to when it is done in person. And although I encourage clients to be
open to receive what ever thoughts feelings and emotions that may arise
(not setting an expectation of what you may experience as all people are
different) many people have noting feeling relaxed, warm, tingly or in some
cases certain emotions that are ready to be worked through may arise.
